To clarify, AmEx project funding will be delivered to teachers at high-need schools across the country. High-need schools are defined as any public school (elementary, middle, high school, K-12, etc.) where 40%+ of students are eligible for free or reduced price lunch.

Congrats! This is great! I cannot express how much I appreciate everything DonorsChoose has done for my classroom. Everytime I get a proposal funded it just amazes me of all the caring people in the world. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for all your support -- we are SO excited about being selected as a 2nd place finalist in the Members Project. We couldn't have done it without you!

Our team is sitting down this week to determine how to funnel the American Express funding to as many teachers in need as possible. While I don't have specifics on how we will select among projects, I can tell you this:

- All funding will go to projects at high-need schools
- If at all possible, we'd like to focus much of the
funding on teachers who haven't been funded this school
 year

Thanks again for your help with the Members Project and for all you are doing to support students across the country!

Thrilling news about Donorschoose. I have been a teacher with Donorschoose since last year. My students and I have been overwhelmed with the support and grants that we have recieved. The grants have made learning more colorful and enjoyable for us. We are an inner city school in Baltimore, Maryland. Congrats and keep up the GREAT! work.

Congratulations! How exactly will the $500,000 be divvied up among the projects? There weren't many specifics in the video. I am curious to know whether any of the projects that are in my challenge will be receiving some of this money :)
