Last Friday, we came across a compelling (if not audacious) 140-character proclamation from a person going by the moniker MiltownKid, “I have an EXCELLENT plan to raise $20,000+ for @DonorsChoose with social media.” Inspired by Tim Ferriss’ own “Tweet to Beat,” Casey (aka MiltownKid) has embarked on what he calls an “epic month of fundraising.” His plan: to fully fund EVERY DonorsChoose.org classroom project in Milwaukee during the month of August.

Enlisting his friends and followers, Casey has declared “social activism” his own personal mission for this month. If his website dedicated to tracking his progress is any indication, he will not be stopped.
