Last week, more than 125 enthusiastic Illinois educators swarmed our website in response to an incentive offer for Illinois Education Association (IEA) members. DonorsChoose.org fully funded the first 100 projects submitted by teachers who were new to the website and posted their ideas for funding by April 11th. The response from IEA teachers was inspiring, helping us grow our reach across the state in a matter of days and bringing DonorsChoose.org to 70 new public schools. We are excited to partner with IEA to serve Illinois teachers and kids.While we were not able to fulfill every project submitted for the incentive, the Central States team is hard at work to get the remaining projects funded (as well as the hundreds of others submitted by Illinois teachers this year).
