The Charlotte Checkers, Charlotte’s own minor league hockey team, beat the Gwinnett Gladiators on Sunday afternoon. In an unusual turn of events for the Charlotte Checkers, most of their fans were wearing Mustaches. Together, the Checkers raised over $1,000 for Mustaches for Kids Charlotte. And everyone had a lot of fun in the process. You can view the news report on WSOC-TV about Mustaches on Ice. And check out some other game highlights here:Mustaches for Kids Growers Eric "Guiness Grabber" Guzik and Ian "Murdock the Magnamious II" Ainslie played a giant game of Memory on the ice.

Mustache Enthusiast Extraordinaire, Sierra Cook, represented Mustaches for Kids atop the zamboni.

Our friends at Party City brought holidays toys for all of the kids attending the game.

And Party City made sure that almost every person in the arena was wearing a Mustache!

Even the zamboni, and the Charlotte Checkers mascot, Chubby, wore Mustaches. The Checkmates, the team cheerleaders, couldn’t have been more supportive!

Thanks to everyone for making Mustaches on Ice such a success!
