It was a wonderful surprise when the Kent Place School, a private, all-girls school in Summit, New Jersey, reached out to DonorsChoose.org with a great idea! How to take the elementary school wide book fair and make it an opportunity to fundraise for New Jersey projects in high need schools. Working with DonorsChoose.org, a Giving Tree was established that allowed individuals who attended and supported the book fair to also donate for projects on DonorsChoose.org.In all, over $2,000 was raised by Kent Place parents and friends! Thanks to those generous donors we were able to support six elementary school projects in high need areas across New Jersey including "Reading Rocks!" in Lindenwold and "For Your Listening Pleasure" in New Brunswick.
