If you’re like most of us, you’ve received a gazillion party invitations this holiday season.DonorsChoose.org was fortunate to be invited to a very special party in Chapel Hill, North Carolina this year – A Giving Party.The concept was started by Perri Kersh who decided that parties this time of year should focus on fun AND giving, the motto being “Give Until It Feels Good.”
DonorsChoose.org was one of 6 local and national nonprofits featured at the December 4th Giving Party in Chapel Hill, thanks in part to the generosity of the Michael and Laura Brader-Araje Foundation. Every party attendee was given a $50 DonorsChoose.org GivingCard and encouraged to apply the GivingCard to a DonorsChoose.org classroom project at one of the laptops that evening.The Party was such a hit that it received immediate recognition in the News and Observer (Raleigh, NC).
