Research shows that teachers know financial literacy is an essential skill, but may not know how to bring those lessons to students. In fact, many teachers cite a lack of appropriate curriculum as a barrier to teaching financial education. To address this issue, Charles Schwab Foundation is working with DonorsChoose teachers to break down barriers and get the financial literacy resources they need to help their students thrive.

Here are three ways teachers can team up with Charles Schwab Foundation to bring financial literacy skills and knowledge to students across the country:
1. Submit a Financial Literacy Project Request to Receive a 2X Match Starting February 19
Beginning on February 19, Charles Schwab Foundation will double donations to financial literacy project requests that cost $600 or less. Whether writing your first fin lit project or your 20th, teachers in all grade levels are encouraged to create a project.
2. Participate in the Charles Schwab Foundation Financial Literacy Innovation Challenge
Have an especially innovative or novel idea for bringing fin lit to students? Once you submit your project, fill out the form available in our [Help Center] to be considered for the Charles Schwab Foundation Financial Literacy Innovation Challenge.
A panel of expert judges at DonorsChoose will select the most innovative, replicable projects based on the rubric available in our Help Center. Selected teachers will share lesson plans to accompany their project and will receive additional funding credits for their classroom!
The public will then be invited to vote online for their favorite project — the winner of public voting will get even more funding for their classroom as a thank you.
3. Find Inspiration from Last Year’s Winners
