Bing asked, schools responded and now the winners have been announced! Four schools from Oakland, CA to Atlanta, GA will receive big prizes (Four 1st place prizes of $50,000 and a $100,000 grand prize!) from Bing as part of their Our School Needs contest.We are proud to have been a part of this amazing contest that will make a difference in schools across the country. To better understand what we mean, this funding will:
- Help students in a Fort Carson, CO elementary school keep in touch with their parents and loved ones overseas by purchasing appropriate technology.
- Reverse the effects of severe budget cuts in Bayside, NY enabling a school to provide basic school supplies to arts, music and after school programs.
- Forge bonds through music, art and technology, between students at an Oakland, CA high school that has students from 30 different countries.
- Protect students in an Atlanta, GA elementary school from their leaking roof during rainstorms.
