Disneyland’s Creative Resources Enabling Arts through Education (CREATE) grants are back! This year, the Disneyland Resort will provide up to $100,000 in materials to support integration of the visual and performing arts in Anaheim and Orange County classrooms.Last year’s grant went to support 358 projects, including dramatic play materials for Mrs. Tavares’s transitional kindergarten class of pretend doctors, firefighters, and veterinarians.
The Disneyland CREATE grants give teachers in the Anaheim and Orange County areas like Mrs. Tavares opportunities to inspire creativity in their students by adding exciting visual and performing arts components to their lessons.Teachers: If you teach in a public school in Orange County or Anaheim and are interested in this opportunity, check out the requirements. Then get started on posting your project. Project proposals must be submitted by October 14, 2013, and winning projects will be fully funded on October 30, 2013. Good luck!
