HP and the New York Giants’ Justin Tuck just announced a tremendous commitment to fulfill every project in Alabama and other areas that have been devastated by recent tornadoes. This initiative is part of HP’s $1.5 million donation to DonorsChoose.org. The funding will bring resources to more than 15,000 students and teachers who need to rebuild their classrooms and whole schools following the disaster.“Supporting education initiatives has been a priority for HP over the past 70 years, and we are dedicated to finding innovative ways to use our technology, people and resources to address some of the most pressing social issues such as education,” said Gabi Zedlmayer, vice president, Office of Global Social Innovation, HP. “Our collaboration with DonorsChoose.org has enabled us to make an immediate difference and directly help teachers and students so they can focus on rebuilding their community.”Mrs. S.’s classroom in Oakman, Alabama lost their whole school recently, and as a result, she and her third graders will be relocating to a new facility. Mrs. S. will be taking with her a new wireless printer that will enable her students to showcase their creativity and accomplishments int heir new home. HP’s funding will give these students the best technology to publish their best work.A big thanks to Justin’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy program and HP, for bringing relief to these areas!
