We just wanted to thank Abe Gurko over at I Mean… What?!? for highlighting DonorsChoose.org as “one of the sweetest charities on Earth”. The blog, known for its witty and humorous takes on fashion, celebrities, and politics, has taken an interest in helping classrooms in need. In a recent post, Abe told his readers about DonorsChoose.org and asked them to help teachers get materials for their classrooms.Abe selected ten projects from DonorsChoose.org to which he felt a special connection. Inspired by his own experience playing the Cowardly Lion in an elementary school play and Mrs. Calderon’s dedication to creating future bloggers through her project “Blogging Our Way Through 2nd Grade,” Gurko created a Giving Page featuring these projects and more!
