By Brooke SchultzScrolling through Donors Choose, a website geared toward teachers who require funding to purchase classroom items, shows teachers from all over the Christina School District are seeking support to purchase items for their classrooms…Robert Graham, who is starting the honors art program at the Middle School Honors Academy at Christiana High School, is requesting a total of $1,678 to purchase a drying rack, a paper cutter and other supplies.“Those two pieces of equipment are essential art room tools, so using Donors Choose to have those items funded for me will free up a large chunk of my school-provided budget for materials directly for students,” he explained.Since beginning his teaching career five years, Graham has had close to $8,000 worth of materials donated to his classroom through the Donors Choose platform.Read the full story on Newark Post.
