Produce for Kids is Back to Fund Healthy Eating Projects!

Produce for Kids and your local grocery store are once again raising funds for health and nutrition-based projects in local schools as part of the Healthy Families, Healthy Kids campaign. Produce for Kids campaigns encourage families to eat healthy while supporting children’s non-profit organizations, like DonorsChoose.org. Now through October, The more fresh produce families add to their carts at select grocery stores during the September-October campaign time, the more local classrooms will benefit.

Keep an eye out for the display unit featuring popular Sprout® characters, like Sportacus from LazyTown™, in the produce department of participating grocery stores – ACME Markets, Meijer Stores, Publix Super Markets.If you’re a teacher located in one of these market areas, submit get your health and wellness projects submitted to DonorsChoose.org so that you can benefit from the campaign at the conclusion of the fundraising season.Teachers can also benefit by entering the Party with Your Produce Challenge and sharing their healthy classroom party ideas.
