Rainwater Charitable Foundation Supports Hands-On Environmental Projects in North Texas

Rainwater Charitable Foundation is offering $100,000 in match funding to hands-on environmental project(s) submitted by North Texas teachers. This funding is a great opportunity for teachers to help students to learn about the world around them through hands-on methods, whether in the classroom or outdoors!Teachers at schools in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Wise, Parker, Hood, Johnson, Ellis, Kaufman and Rockwall counties, with 70% or greater free and reduced lunch percentages are eligible for funding through this generous offer. Requests must be for $600 or less in materials (projects on water conservation and watershed protection, composting, community gardens, etc. would work well!).Attention qualifying teachers: Please post by February 9th to qualify for the first round of funding.The Rainwater Charitable Foundation supports organizations and initiatives that serve children and families that can most benefit from our commitment.
