Support for Greater Kansas City Classrooms

Share:

We're excited to announce a new partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, an organization that knows a quality education is necessary to create self-sufficient citizens and a vibrant society. Thanks to the Foundation, classroom projects in Greater Kansas City schools will be eligible for a half-off match offer. To qualify for this match offer, projects must:

  • cost $1,000 or less
  • serve a school where 40% or more students are on free/reduced lunch in these counties:
  • Missouri: Cass, Clay, and Jackson
  • Kansas: Johnson and Wyandotte
  • only two projects per teacher can receive this funding

The Foundation will also be distributing thousands of DonorsChoose.org gift cards throughout the Kansas City community this school year. This partnership will not only support thousands of students and teachers but also engage the local community in making a difference.“Access to specialized supplies and experiences provides high-quality learning opportunities for Kansas City students, but they’re sometimes hard to come by,” said Aaron North, Vice President of Education at the Kauffman Foundation. “This is a great opportunity for the Kansas City community to rally around its teachers and to help fund classroom projects that will engage students.”
