Spring is in full swing this week, and at the DonorsChoose.org office that means one thing: Teacher Appreciation Week is here! As the school year draws to a close, this is the perfect opportunity to find a teacher who inspired you and give them a big, heartfelt THANK YOU.That’s what our friends at General Motors decided to do this week, in the form of a brand new match offer for STEM teachers. While funding lasts, General Motors will double donations to STEM projects at schools where at least 50% of the students come from low-income households. All projects under $2,000 will qualify! Teachers, check out the specifics in our help center. You can help Mrs. Braden add an inflatable solar system to her classroom, to help “the planets come to life” for her students. Or support Ms. Ely’s efforts to help her struggling math students engage with the material through new hands-on activities. Or give Ms. G’s city kids the chance to learn in nature. There are over 10,000 STEM projects like these on our site that could use a boost. Which one will you choose?
