PwC and DonorsChoose.org want to reward all high-school educators who teach financial literacy in their classrooms! From now until December 20th, we would like to invite our teachers to submit a 1-3 minute video demonstrating how you bring financial education to life in your classroom. In return for your dedication to teaching financial literacy, all teachers who submit applications will receive a $100 DonorsChoose.org gift code. Finalists will be announced from February 7-14, 2014.

For ideas on ways to incorporate financial literacy into your classroom, check out the following resources:

a) PwC’s financial literacy curriculum

b) The mobile app JA Build Your FutureTM

c) Lessons from PwC - KWHS Seminar for High School Educators on Business and Financial Responsibility

Here’s how to submit your application:

  1. Upload one (1) video at TeacherTube.com that shows how you incorporate financial education into the classroom and commentary/feedback from students about how the curricula or educational resource has impacted them. (Teacher must have an account on teachertube.com. Accounts are free and sign-up is easy!)
  2. Submit your video through the online application. Check out the official rules of the contest.
  3. Email scanned copies of all adult and minor waiver/release forms to CRFeedback@us.pwc.com. Parent/legal guardian must complete release forms.

Upon evaluation of the submissions, PwC will select one winner and two honorable mentions. First Place will receive a plaque, $5,000 for the teacher’s school to build its financial literacy resources, an iPad for your classroom, and priority entry to the 2014 PwC and KWHS Seminar for High School Educators on Business and Financial Responsibility.

Honorable mentions will receive a certificate, $2,500 for the teacher’s school to build its financial literacy resources, and priority entry to the 2014 PwC and KWHS Seminar for High School Educators on Business and Financial Responsibility.

Best of luck!
