Ms. Barile has been posting projects on DonorsChoose.org for years, but when she posted a recent project, she got a wonderful surprise. Her project was nearly fully funded by donations from previous students!Ms. Barile’s former students donated to a project called College Bound with 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which she posted to help current students prepare for college and gain necessary skills as they enter the workforce. This cycle of donating all began when she started posting her projects on Facebook. Her students from the past saw these posts and stepped up!“These former students - now engineers, entrepreneurs, musicians, parents, and even college students - began funding my projects”. Ms. Barile always taught the importance of giving back, and now she has inspired students who benefited from donations in the past to become donors themselves.
