We are thrilled to announce that DonorsChoose.org has been invited to participate in the Starbucks Community Card: Vote.Give.Grow. program in recognition of our effectiveness in helping communities thrive.The campaign launches today and provides Starbucks customers the opportunity to direct a $4 million investment from the Starbucks Foundation to local non-profits across the country.“Our mission at DonorsChoose is to improve public education by empowering every teacher to be a change-maker and enabling any citizen to be a philanthropist,” said Charles Best, founder of DonorsChoose.org. “We are thrilled that, together with Starbucks, we can provide this action opportunity to tens of thousands of teachers and citizens.”In each of 61 markets across the U.S, four non profits will be in the running to receive up to $35,000.
