NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/Education nonprofit DonorsChoose.org announced today it has expanded its classroom funding platform to support Student Life Essentials projects. These requests include warm, clean clothing; personal hygiene items like deodorant and toothpaste; and food, with the goal of removing barriers to help students focus and succeed in school.To launch this expansion, a group of supporters have contributed $1 million to match citizen donations to these projects nationwide.
