There are many places to enjoy the summertime heat, but a classroom shouldn’t be one of them. As summer winds down, hundreds of kids will return 100 degree classrooms. Ms. Robinson has requested a portable room air conditioner unit for her classroom in Baltimore, MD where temperatures hit record highs in 2012.She writes, “School is a place where students are developing their social skills through peer interactions, learning how to manage feelings, and more appropriately through verbalizing and creating positive and respectful relationships”. However, when students are sitting in a classroom with red flushed faces, their learning abilities are limited. Please consider making a donation today and help Ms. Robinson’s students stay motivated during the hottest days of the year!
