While schools are closed and teachers are grappling with ways to help their students continue learning remotely, time and instructional resources are in short supply for most teachers. One new solution: teachers now can request instructional resources from Teachers Pay Teachers’ vast library as part of a DonorsChoose Distance Learning Project!
Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT) has long been one of the most sought-after vendors that teachers have wanted to see added to DonorsChoose. Thanks to this new vendor partnership, teachers can add TpT gift cards to their project requests on DonorsChoose, which can be redeemed on TpT’s marketplace for original educational resources created by teachers, for teachers.
Here’s how it works:
- Teachers needing TpT resources can create a Distance Learning Project.
- During the shopping process, teachers can select Teachers Pay Teachers as a vendor and add up to five $100 TpT gift cards to their cart.
- When the project is funded, teachers will receive their electronic TpT gift card, which can instantly be redeemed on the TpT website
Trisha, a middle school teacher from New York, looks forward to getting started on her first DonorsChoose project for TpT resources. “What makes me most excited is that, with TpT gift cards, I’ll be able to more readily meet all students’ needs through the additional resources. At a time of new resource overload, having content I trust that I can select to meet my specific needs would be a huge help!”
In the past, Laura, an elementary teacher from Illinois, has made special requests on DonorsChoose for TpT resources, and appreciates the chance to support other teachers while also saving time creating instructional materials from scratch. “Teachers spend so much out of their own pockets for resources and spend so much time creating resources.
